TesLyr is a web app that displays real-time, synchronized lyrics on your Tesla's touchscreen for the song you're currently playing. It's designed to bring your music to life, right on your main display.

While many music apps have lyrics on your phone, they don't display them on the Tesla's main screen. TesLyr is built specifically to solve this, working directly in your car's browser to show lyrics for audio from any source.

Nope! TesLyr is a web-based application. There's nothing to install on your phone or in your car. Just navigate to our website in your Tesla's browser to get started.

After you grant permission by logging in with your Tesla account, TesLyr securely reads only the currently playing song information from your vehicle. This allows it to find and display the correct lyrics.

TesLyr is compatible with all Tesla vehicles equipped with the MCU2 infotainment system or newer (generally, vehicles manufactured in 2018 and later). This includes most Model S, 3, X, Y, and the Cybertruck. It does not support older vehicles with the MCU1 system.

TesLyr is designed to be universal. It supports virtually any audio source your Tesla can play, including:

Native Tesla Apps: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.

Bluetooth Audio: Music streamed from your phone.

USB Music: Audio files played from a connected USB drive.

Note: Some mobile apps like Youtube Music with free plans may not transmit song data over Bluetooth, which can prevent lyrics from being displayed.

Yes. TesLyr requires an internet connection to fetch lyrics. If you're not connected to Wi-Fi, it will use your car's cellular data. However, the data usage is minimal—typically only a few kilobytes (KB) per song.

Absolutely. We use Tesla's official and secure third-party authentication system. You will be redirected to Tesla's own website to log in, and you only grant TesLyr permission to access specific data (like the current song). Your password is never shared with us.

TesLyr is designed with privacy in mind. We only request read-only access to the bare minimum needed for the app to function: the currently playing track's information (song title, artist, etc.). We do not access location, driving data, or vehicle controls.

Getting started is simple: open our website in your Tesla browser and follow the prompts to log in with your Tesla account. We will provide a detailed step-by-step guide when TesLyr officially launches.

For quick access, you can bookmark the TesLyr website in your car's browser. It will also appear in your "Recents," making it just a tap away each time you want to use it.

Our lyrics database is extensive, but occasional issues can occur. If you encounter a problem, please use the "Report an Issue" button directly on the lyrics screen. Our team will review your submission and work to fix it as quickly as possible.

TesLyr will be a subscription-based service. We plan to offer a free tier with some limitations, alongside premium plans with full access to all features. Final pricing details will be announced when we officially launch.
